Enable Keypad Control

Enable keypad control and you can change contents by clicking number keys at a keypad/keyboard device which connects to a SMP player. You can edit up to 10 different playlists or contents, and user can easily change it by clicking 0~9 key in keyboard or keypad to map to playlist index 0~9.

  1. Click tool button icon of the number you want to use to configure the triggered playlist or content.
  2. There are six types of contents which can be triggered by a keypad. Just enable one type and edit the contents.
    Program Select one program in the table. If you don’t see any program here, it means you haven’t created any program yet. Please go to PLAYBACK or LIBRARY page to create one.
    Playlist You can use keypad to trigger contents from more than one playlist.
    1. Click Edit Playlist, and you can see all playlists listing in the left column. If the left column is empty, that means you haven’t created any playlist yet. Please go to PLAYBACK or LIBRARY page to create one.
    2. Select those playlists you want to play. You can select multiple playlists at one time by holding the Shift or Ctrl key, or just select it one by one. If you want to search any specific playlist, enter the keyword after the search icon search icon. Then all possible results will show up.
    3. Click select file icon, and all selected playlists in the left column will be duplicated to the right column. SMP will only play those playlists in the right column.
    Video You can choose to play video files in Media Folder, network streaming, or video input. Please refer to Playback > Skin > Video Zone to learn detailed instructions.
    Image You can choose to play image files in Media Folder. Please refer to Playback > Skin > Image Zone and click the plus button in front of Media Files to learn detailed instructions.
    HTML/Flash You can choose to play HTML/Flash files in Media Folder, a remote URL, xPost, Twitter, Weather, QR code, or an embedded HTML code. Please refer to Playback > Skin > HTML/Flash Zone to learn detailed instructions.
    Central Scheduling You can choose to show contents controlled by a CMS server.
  3. Click Save after you finish setting up the keypad.
  4. Check Enable keypad control to enable this function. If you want to remove the assignment, please click trash can icon trash can icon of each number to delete it. The delete icon will show up after content is assigned to the number.
